The Thompson Technique is a full-spine chiropractic adjusting technique that uses high-velocity, low amplitude, adjusting procedure using a drop table to assist in the correction of vertebral subluxation. Using the drop table allows the doctor to use less force, decreasing doctor fatigue and making it easier on the patient. At the heart of the Thompson Technique is the Derefield leg check, adapted from the original work of Dr. Romer Derefield and Dr. Alivin Niblo. The Derefield leg-check analysis enables the practitioner to differentiate between cervical and pelvic involvement.
Seminars are a hands-on classroom practicing Thompson Technique analysis and set-ups. Attendees will be presented the basic neurology of the short leg, how to correctly perform a leg check, what the leg check finding means, where in the spine to look for problems based on the leg check finding, when to start adjusting, when to stop adjusting, and much more.
We offer single day introduction seminars and multiple date Thompson Technique certification seminar series. The complete Thompson Technique certification program consists of 36 hours of lecture, demonstration, hands-on practice, and both a written and practical tests. You can attend 4 single day, 9 hour, sessions or register for the certification series.
